Today's Church has become a shadow of its former self - suffering from severe spiritual anorexia. The power and authority of our Lord's Church has gone, and derelict is the description any honest man would give. Through decades of neglect and Spiritless guidance, we have in our hands a tragedy. So called ‘super Churches’ such as the Hillsong church have risen up leading thousands toward personal success without ever a thought for personal holiness. The Holy Spirit is said to be in their meetings if the musicians can just dish up an orchestral masterpiece that will tug at the emotions, yet where is the fruit, the personal revivals, the changed man? At no point in history has the Church ever been of less significance to the unbeliever. Sermons on repentance and redemption have given way to 'seeker services' and easy to swallow 'sinners prayers'. The infilling of the Holy Spirit has given way to audio tapes and books on how to recover from your inner pain. Discipleship has given way to youth groups and life groups. The Doctrine of the Apostle Paul and the Saints has given way to personal beliefs where a man sets his own truth according to his experiences and how much or how little he is prepared to surrender. We have nearly slid back to Catholicism where relationship with God was long ago replaced by the duties of the Priest.

Gone is the majesty and glory of God, gone are the miracles, the signs and the wonders, instead we have in its place flashing lights and fireworks set off from the platform. Instead of celebrating our Lord, we celebrate our own humanity, our own accomplishments, and our own works. Little do we hear today of Holy men, instead we have in the words of Brian Houston, "Leaders of Greatness". Instead of God anointed leaders, self-appointed leaders 'anointed' with fame brought about by books that discuss how to have more money, more love, more success. We have Churches running business colleges, while the community around them doesn't even know they exist. We have turned Church into business, and big business at that.

Over the last few years, the Holy Spirit has been preparing a number of His children. While a few in the Church have seemingly spent their lives thinking about changing the world, a few of those few set about in the pursuit of God so that they might actually be used of God as tools in His Mighty hand to put words into action, to walk the talk. Perhaps you are one of them? Today, The BOC (The Body of Christ) is the groundbreaker of the seed God has planted in the heart of SM Anderson.

The BOC is to be a breakaway from the modern day Church to birth the next generation of "Church". The BOC is about discipleship, genuine discipleship as it was modelled by Jesus Himself. The yearly tripling that the U+2=21 discipleship formula generates is without doubt the fastest, most effective, efficient and without any doubt, the cheapest way to build the Kingdom. We do this without separating ourselves from the modern-day Church, but instead embracing all those who desire to truly walk with God in holiness and humility. It is our desire that Churches will see our work and want to join us by reforming their fellowships into U+2=21 model Churches.

For many years now, the renewal that has swept many denominations has been telling the Church that the next move of the Holy Spirit would be a sovereign move of God that would do away with the hierarchical Church system, a Church where there were no superstars, but everyone ministered to each other. The Apostolic Reformation movement (now calling themselves Third Wave) is now raising its head in direct violation of this clear and repeated Prophecy by introducing an even more controlled, authoritarian and legalistic Church than the one we already have. While I have some respect for C Peter Wagner, my message to him is clear, what we need is not another 'focus' or a change of Church 'structure', we need reformation. This new movement will be shortlived. It is not from a critical heart that I say this, but out of a genuine desire to stem the tide of people that are hurt and abused by our Churches every week. And to be a Clarion Call to the many that believe they have salvation, yet in opposition to the black and white teaching of the New Testament, they do not know Him.

The BOC is the reverse of authoritarian Churches. The BOC is about YOU, your friends, your fellow workers, your next-door neighbours and everyone you come into contact with. The BOC is the fastest, but also the most truly effective way to bring sinners to repentance, creating true disciples of Christ, not just Church attendees. You may have heard this saying before from Keith Green: "Going to Church doesn't make you a Christian, any more than going to McDonalds makes you a hamburger". I am calling people to be true disciples, leading people with love and acceptance of the person (not the sin), not legalism. Jesus showed very clearly that people respond positively to grace and mercy not judgement and condemnation.

What we wish to do is very radical. Without throwing the baby out with the bath water, we need to try to discard every single instance of traditional or custom of the modern Church in order to seek the Father's will, and of course the Scriptures, to see how to most effectively build His Kingdom. Often this is as simple as looking in the Word to see what Jesus told us to do, sometimes it means using that grey mass that the Father put between our ears, and sometimes Father sovereignly tells us.

The BOC is not a cult, although there is no doubt it will be accused of being one, any study of our teaching or beliefs will leave any sincere Christian without any doubts that this is the case. The Bible is the foundation of all our teaching. We do not pull verses out of context and use them as the basis of our beliefs like so many do; instead we believe everything in balance. The Bible should be read as a holistic book, not as verses pulled out here and there. When was the last time you sat down and read the book of Acts in one sitting? An average reader will only take 3 hours! Please do this tonight instead of watching American Idol or some reality show. So we have not selected certain scriptures and made them of seemingly higher importance than others.

Indeed, we will be creating CultReach classes for those interested in reaching out to those that are in the cults such as the Boston Church of Christ, Mormonism, The Watchtower B&TS (JWs), Roman Catholicism and others.
